Rushmoor Voluntary Services are committed to reducing the impact of our service delivery on the environment. Thanks to the support of our Trustees and staff, we have made small but meaningful changes to our daily office practices.
We are extremely proud to have achieved recognition as Investors in the Environment achieving Silver accreditation for our commitment to this work.
This webpage shares a sample of the actions we have taken on our journey. We recognise that many of our members are keen to act against climate change, but do not have the resources or in house expertise to do this. We hope you find the links and information shared here helpful.
Whilst our journey is far from complete, we now know that you do not need to be an expert to make a start. Every change is worth making, however small it feels. Imagine the impact it would have, if every voluntary sector organisation made that same change, it adds up to something much bigger.
We are very grateful to have the support of VONNE (Voluntary Organisation Network Northeast). VONNE has been supporting Voluntary Organisations in the Northeast to go green for some time and have a vision to increase the geographic reach of their Going Green Together project. They have very kindly permissioned the use of links to their website which provide a wealth of information on ideas and actions for going green.
