Employment Vacancies at Rushmoor Voluntary Services April 2022
Exciting Employment Vacancies at Rushmoor Voluntary Services
Rushmoor Voluntary Services’ key role in the community is to champion volunteering and to support any voluntary or community group working in the Borough of Rushmoor.
For the last two years, we have been working with key partners to lead the local response to the Covid emergency. New opportunities arose from the amazing community response.
You now have the opportunity to join us as we evolve through a period of positive and progressive change.
If you are committed to working alongside your community, to build a sustainable and resilient future, we’d like to hear from you.
Membership Support Co-ordinator (permanent, 21 hrs per week)
Support our community development approach to forming a Volunteer Hub, creating a first-rate service for our volunteers and member organisations.
Develop, promote and support membership benefits.
Research, organise and facilitate training and membership events.
Support the implementation of a new CRM including our membership database.
The pandemic has revealed and created a number of social issues in our neighbourhoods, that local people are keen to address. Social isolation and food poverty are key issues. These new roles emerged as a result:
Community Store Manager (initially, one year fixed term role, 30 hrs per week)
The Community Grub Hub CIC opened the community store in December 2021, providing access to free food and a place to donate. We have a great team of volunteers – our Welcome Hosts – that provide a friendly smile and a cuppa when visitors arrive, whether that is to volunteer, donate, swap or shop. The Community Store Manager will head up that team.
Manage a team of dedicated and enthused volunteers and work with partner organisations, including Rushmoor Borough Council and Karuna Action.
Manage the food supplies and the operation of the community store in Windsor Way, Aldershot.
Develop partnerships and wraparound support services.
Social Inclusion Officer (initially, one year fixed term role, 18 hrs per week)
Working with a committed team of volunteer Befrienders to reduce social isolation and loneliness.
Develop the existing model and framework for the befriending service.
Assess need and risk and implement safe working practices.
Provide support and supervision to the committed volunteer team.
We will be assessing applications as we receive them and interviewing on a rolling basis. We may therefore close the recruitment at any time so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
