Unsung Heroes

Recognising individuals whose volunteering makes a significant difference across multiple organisations, events and community initiatives. Their contributions are often behind the scenes or spread across different causes, meaning they may not receive recognition from any one organisation. 

For example: 

• Volunteering for several organisations throughout the year 

• Regularly stepping in at short notice wherever help is needed 

• Supporting community events, festivals and fundraising activities for different groups 

• Quietly identifying ways to help and taking action without being asked 

• Helping with practical community improvements, such as litter picking, reporting hazards or supporting neighbourhood initiatives 

• Self-led initiatives that support the community
