Supported Volunteering

What is Supported Volunteering?

Supported Adult Volunteering aims to empower those who want to volunteer but would like some support to do so.

Rushmoor Voluntary Services supported volunteering project is 'Blooming Marvellous' - a Supported Adult Volunteering Gardening Project.

'Blooming Marvellous' Gardening Project

Our volunteers enjoy making a difference in the community. Our four main activities are:

  • Managing our allotments in Aldershot
  • Working in the gardens of frail, elderly and disabled people in the borough
  • Improving community open-spaces
  • Working with other Countryside Charities
  • Participating in training and information sessions

We hold 5 sessions a week to carry out our activities and support each other as well as take an active role in the development of the project. We are always on the lookout for Rushmoor residents gardens that we can ‘makeover’. Blooming Marvellous Team
