The 'Blooming Marvellous' Gardening Project
Funded by RVS, Ecominds and Hampshire County Council Adult Services, we run a highly successful gardening project. This operates an allotment where the group grow fruit and vegetables. Participants also carry out one-off gardening projects in the local community for those people who are unable to get their gardens under control due to poor health or disability. We have recently participated in the renovation of Alma Gardens and will be active in its maintenance and the maintenance of other 'green' community areas.
The group meet regularly three times a week and have participated in both horticultural and healthy eating training courses to improve their well-being, skills and prospects.
