Accessible mini buses available for hire
Rushmoor Voluntary Services operates the Rushmoor and Hart Community Transport Scheme.
We have a range of accessible minibuses with up to 16 seats available for hire to member organisations.
The hire cost is £1 per mile. This includes all running costs. (Minimum Charge - £20)
Volunteer Drivers - We may be able to provide a MIDAS trained driver from our pool of volunteer drivers. The charge for this service to 31st March 2017 is £10.00 and from 1st April 2017 £15.00.
Important Passenger safety Notice - It is the responsibility of the hiring organisation to undertake risk assessments for individual passengers in wheelchairs. Click HERE to read our guidelines and requirements.
It is a requirement that all drivers of RVS minibuses hold a current MIDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) Certificate. See our page on MiDAS Training HERE for more information.
Eligibility to drive an RVS Minibus - Drivers must be over 21 years and held a licence for 2 years. If you are over 70 years you can drive a minibus providing you have obtained a medical certificate and have requested a D1 to be retained on your Driving Licence.
